I am Dennis Warwick and I am standing as Councillor for Trimsaran Ward at the elections on Thursday 3rd May 2012.
Originally from the Valleys, I have been married for 42yrs years, I have three children and two grandchildren. I have lived most of my life in West Wales, the last ten years in the Gwendraeth valley. I have worked for the Army, Police, Probation and have recently been made redundant as a front line, first line manager in your local children’s Social Services.
I have been a Unison member for years and am currently a Lay Training Tutor in Carmarthenshire Branch. I was elected as Training Officer and more recently elected as Assistant Branch Secretary, heavily involved in the pension’s dispute together with representing members in Grievance, Discipline, appeals and Health issues.
I believe my life experiences and general back ground have given me unique qualifications to allow me to become an effective and outspoken representative for all the people of Trimsaran and Carmarthenshire.

What I will do together with you.
Councillors decide not managers.
Ø Often very important council decisions are not made by your councillors but are made by unelected, unaccountable and excessively paid senior managers. This will stop.
More Democracy not less
Ø I will fight to ensure that all the councillors take full responsibility for their decisions and actions and that there is more recorded Accountable Democratic involvement in all areas within Carmarthenshire Council.
No More Cuts
Ø I will strive to ensure that there are No more unnecessary and unjustified cuts to any of our Services and Jobs in Carmarthenshire.
No more Taxpayers cash for Private Companies
Ø I will do all in my power to STOP the many Millions of Pounds of Council Taxpayers money being spent on private companies and private enterprise.
Better Services and Council Tax Freeze
Ø I will use the monies we now waste, in places where it is really needed, to improve children’s education, to support our young people, to make real new jobs, to give proper services to our needy and elderly citizens and to freeze Council Tax.
Champion the needs of Trimsaran People
Ø
I will regularly consult and seek the opinions of the people of Trimsaran ward, so that their views and concerns are always heard.
Fresh start for Trimsaran and the people of Carmarthenshire
